The Primary Program supports our youngest friends as they grow in mind, heart, body and spirit to discover unique gifts and uncover dynamic personalities. Our teachers promote learning in a developmentally appropriate manner and cultivate educational experiences, inside and outside of the classroom, to help our students encounter a widening world of possibilities. In preschool through grade 2, children are seen as learners, thinkers and investigators. They are encouraged to interact with the world through a variety of activities and experiences.
Children play and learn, discover and create while developing social and emotional foundational skills. Our goal is to support each student to be on or above reading and math grade levels by the end of grade 2. Our young students walk, run, and skip around campus each day to engage with our co-curricular teachers and encounter exciting experiences in world languages, music, visual arts, physical education, technology and 21st century thinking, and library literacy. Teachers use dynamic lessons, leveled readers, learning through play, and real time student-centered assessment measures to create curricula and student educational experiences that inspire our students to grow and learn with courage and confidence .
