We are excited to work with your family to determine if Saint Philomena School is the best community for your child to grow and learn. We value the importance that parents place in finding the right "educational family" for their child. Our admissions process seeks to support and inform parents as we work together in the best interest of every child.
Families interested in learning more about Saint Philomena School should submit an inquiry form through our school website to begin the process of learning more about our community.
All interested families are encouraged to schedule a private tour of the campus as an opportunity to visit our classes, meet students and faculty and witness the community and school culture.
The Admissions Process
To formally apply for admission to St. Philomena School, parents work with the Director of Admissions and are asked to provide copies of the child’s birth certificate and report cards and/or standardized testing that is available.
St. Philomena School has a rolling admissions process throughout the school year where space is available. As openings occur, parents of prospective students are contacted. Siblings of current students and children of graduates are given priority.
We begin accepting students for entrance to school up to a year in advance. Early acceptance decisions occurs from September through December previous to the new academic year. The regular admission process begins in January previous to the new academic year for any available openings that might be available.
As part of the admissions process, parents will meet with the Director of Admission. Students in grades 1 through grade 7 will be invited to visit a class for the day. Pre-k and kindergarten friends visit for an hour or two. The shadow visit experience also includes an opportunity for the family and the principal to meet, discuss the child and share the Saint Philomena School experience and mission. A determination regarding acceptance is usually made within a few days and parents are notified by the Director of Admissions.
Please don't hesitate to contact the Director of Admissions, Mrs. Christie Giroux, at anytime to learn more about the process, ask questions or inquire about a private tour.
