Admissions Process

We are excited to work with your family to determine if Saint Philomena School is the best community for your child to grow and learn. We value the importance that parents place in finding the right "educational family" for their child. Our admissions process seeks to support and inform parents as we work together in the best interest of every child.

Families interested in learning more about Saint Philomena School should submit an inquiry from through our website to begin the process of learning more about our community.

All interested families are encouraged to schedule a private tour of the campus as an opportunity to visit our classes, meet students and faculty and see the community as it is experienced each day.

To formally apply for admission to St. Philomena School a family will complete an application as guided by our admission staff. Parents are asked to provide copies of the child’s birth certificate, report cards and standardized testing that are available.

St. Philomena School engages in a rolling admissions process for grades PreK through seven. As openings occur, parents of prospective students are contacted in order of the date of application. Siblings of current students and children of graduates are given priority.

Students in grades 1 through grade 7 will be invited to visit a class for the day (kindergarten pupils visit for an hour or two). The visit also includes an opportunity for the family and the principal to meet, discuss the child and share the Saint Philomena School experience and mission. A determination regarding acceptance is usually made within the next few days and an acknowledgement letter with enrollment materials will be sent.

In February of each year, we will invite preschool and pre-K families to meet with the principal and and spend a morning at Saint Philomena School. Children will meet and play in small groups with our faculty. Parents will be notified with regard to acceptance status. After February we use the same rolling admissions process (as described above) to fill any remaining openings in the preschool and pre-kindergarten classes.

Please don't hesitate to contact the school at anytime to learn more about the process, ask questions or inquire about a private tour.
