St. Philomena School
The Parents Council at Saint Philomena School of the Sacred Heart facilitates and coordinates the communication and logistics that bring together our children, families, faculty and friends in exciting and special ways throughout the year. Every SPS parent, guardian, family member and grandparent can volunteer and get involved in the events and activities that build community and support our entire school community.
Parents help serve as volunteer leaders of our Parents Council Leadership Team, Event Coordinators and Room Parent Coordinators. Each year, parents have the opportunity to propose new and exciting activities that build community and support our students & teacher. Our parents help create the culture of a community focused on lifting up our children, teacher and families.
Some of the annual events that the Parents Council will help coordinate include the Welcome Back Mass/Picnic, Fall Fair, Christmas Pageant, Catholic Schools Week celebrations, Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Event, Spring Family Mass, the Last Day Family Picnic, holiday celebrations and many more exciting events and activities!
